Ravilochan & Shubadha Madgaonkar

Ravilochan Madgaonkar comes from a family of freedom fighters, as his best half, his wife Shubhada Madgaonkar, support him all ways. She tells, he has stuck on to all-natural organic farming, despite all odds. With a family and kids to look at, Ravilochan’s dream of natural farming, didnt support much. He never gave up on the choice he made that he will grow organic and process it with only best practices, while all around him were people who believed in cash crops and easier ways of farming and processing.
Shubdha Madgaonkar, remembers that bringing up their kids to living a decent livelihood was difficult when in spite of the best organic produce, there was no market to reach out to. They are now fully pledged to work with The Green Stories to produce the best and also process the authentic traditional way to bring out food to the store that is packed with nutrients that the hybrid crops don’t give.
Last year has been a major change in their livelihood and the way they see the future. This Madgaonkar family has now also joined with The green Stories to educate other farmers and grow the way they do in their farms. This has brought a great chance to see a community grow in just a year and to see a happy change in their livelihood as well.
While the present market makes farmers focus on cash crops, The Green Stories looks for farmers with passion, farmers who have agricultural lands that’s small-scale and yet highly diverse. The secret is in the traditional indigenous varieties. The Green Stories encourages, supports and educates the farmers, to stick to natural ways of farming and procees them traditionally.
