The Green Stories works with farmers, with small lands, yet diverse in agriculture. Creating the passion in the farmers to grow natural and organic, without any pesticides, all-natural ways of pest control. Natural Organic farming is the production of crops, and other products without the use of synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides, antibiotics or transgenic species, and growth-enhancing steroids, or other chemicals. Our farm partners not only cultivate indigenous varieties of crops, but also spread the word to other farmers to grow right, grow traditional, and grow the indigenous varieties of crops, vegetables and fruits naturally.


The indigenous crops are traditionally known as native varieties. Every region of India has unique traditional foods that are widely consumed by a group of people, or by a particular community, like the Kokum, maland forest honey, the indigenous rice varieties, in the Malanad region of India. The traditional rice varieties have high nutrition than hybrid rice varieties. They are a good source of minerals and vitamins such as niacin, thiamine, iron, riboflavin, vitamin D, calcium, and possess higher fiber. Furthermore, these indigenous varieties of rice possess several health benefits such as reducing the risk of developing type II diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases by lowering the glycemic and insulin responses
